Flu & Covid Clinics 2022/2023

Our flu & Covid clinics will be running in late September/October as soon as we receive our supply of vaccines. Please support your surgery by having your flu vaccine with us when available.  We will be inviting you for a vaccine.   Please may we ask that you refrain from ringing the surgery at this time to enquire about the flu vaccine in order to keep telephone lines free.  

Flu vaccinations will be offered under the NHS flu vaccination programme to the following groups:

All those aged two and three (but not four years or older) on 1st September 2021 
People aged from 6 months  upwards in clinical risk groups. With a medical condition such as:
Chronic (long-term) respiratory disease, such as severe asthma, chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or bronchitis
Chronic heart disease, such as heart failure

Chronic kidney disease at stage three, four or five
Chronic liver disease
Chronic neurological disease, such as Parkinson’s disease or motor neurone disease, or learning disability
Diabetes
Splenic dysfunction
A weakened immune system due to disease (such as HIV/AIDS) or treatment (such as cancer treatment)
Morbidly obese (defined as BMI of 40 and above)

Pregnant women (including those women who become pregnant during the flu season)
 Carers 
People living in long-stay residential care homes or other long-stay care facilities

Lives with a immunocompromised individual.

Those aged 50 years and over with no chronic health conditions.

 

We will be running Flu clinics from 23rd September 2023 through to October 2023 on a Saturday. We will be sending invites to you via text message and contacting all those who do not have a mobile number registered. If you are eligible for a Covid Vaccination (over 75 years old, in the at risk category or immunocompromised) you will also be able to have your Covid vaccination. Please DO NOT call the surgery for any queries regarding Flu as the reception team do not have the capacity to deal with queries, Someone will in touch.
